The new second edition of A Swift Guide to Butterflies of North America was released just a few days ago. This wonderful guide helps you identify all of the butterflies that you might see anywhere in North America. The guide covers all species known to have occurred within this area with over 3,500 photographs.
The guide covers a huge number of species but the visual index in the back helps you quickly find the right part of the book to start your search. Once you are in the right section, the author does a wonderful job of providing good tips for proper identification. The range maps, though small, are detailed and very helpful.
I highly recommend this book for anyone with an interest in butterflies. From the beginner to the expert, there is something for everyone in the book.
We received a free copy of this book from the publisher to review.
